Spa Pump House

Scarborough Spa is officially 400 years old this year. The Mates 3D group were contacted by Scarborough Maritime Heritage to produce a model of the Spa Pump House building that used to be on the approach to the spa immediately above the underground pump house itself.

The model was designed and printed by Paul Riles of the 3D group and painted by Elaine Bentley of the railway group. The colours were decided after negociations with Maritime Heritage to match the colours of the rainshelters in the spa gardens nearby. As well as the building, three figures of the period were produced by Bryan Wallbridge.

Elaine and Paul are seen officially handing over the pump house and figures to Mark Vasey at Maritime Heritage in mid April 2026. (Mark is at the left.)
