The model railway group at Scarborough Mates meets regularly every Tuesday morning, bringing together individuals with a shared passion for model building. It seems appropriate that the group meets in our revamped railway building, in the dedicated model railway room.
Mates of all skill levels come together to exchange ideas, learn new techniques, discuss new layouts and collaborate on projects, fostering a sense of camaraderie and support among participants.
Members can, of course, also use our other facilities eg 3D printer, and various tools and machines in the workshop to make different bespoke items for the layouts.
The inclusive environment encourages creativity and social interaction, making it an ideal group for both seasoned modelers and newcomers to the hobby.
The Mates Railway Modelers Group regularly demonstrates their layouts at the model railway shows around the area.
Through collaborative efforts, the group not only enhances their modeling skills but also strengthens community bonds, contributing to the overall well-being of its members.
